This book is phenomenal. I love Ryle's shorter books for the wisdom he packs in. I return to this book time and time again for devotional reading. Excellent teaching, application, questions to ask yourself for reflection, and just good wisdom. Highly recommend.

Proof power comes in little packages!

I've heard many recommend J.C. Ryle as an author every Christian would benefit from reading, and I can now add myself to that list. Ryle is bold, brief, and clear in his encouragement for others to pray. A masterfully pastoral book which has something for everyone - admonishment for those who fail to pray, encouragement for those who pray, and practical wisdom for those looking to start their prayer life for the first time. I'm so proud that our team preserves and publishes such an important book on prayer. I'll always have an extra copy on my shelf to give to someone asking about prayer.
