Simon Guillebaud

Simon Guillebaud. Author, speaker, social entrepreneur, family man, cyclist and charity founder, Simon Guillebaud had a very clear call to Burundi in 1999, when it was regarded as the most dangerous country on earth. Having unexpectedly survived 7 years of genocide and civil war, he set up GLO with the vision to transform Burundi and beyond through holistic mission, working with gifted local leaders of integrity.

Now married with three children, he and his wife Lizzie have both been awarded an MBE for their services to Burundi.

Simon is author of the bestselling Choose Life – 365 readings for radical disciples, voted ‘Devotional of the Year 2015’. He is also the author of ‘More than Conquerors‘, ‘Sacrifice‘ and ‘Dangerously Alive‘ and has over 25,000 social media followers who read his challenging, frequently shocking, sometimes amusing and always authentic tweets and blog posts.

Motivating!

This book contains several incredible stories of missionaries around the world who are committed to following Jesus no matter where it takes them. I especially loved the last story, where a 7 year old was converted in part by her neighbors looking so happy when they went to church. What a testimony and an encouragement to live out our faith in big and little ways!

Inspiring Stories

Simon Guillebaud has brought together eight individuals, each of whom felt God’s calling on their life. Each of whom discovered the adventure of following Christ in a various different countries. They discovered the challenge of taking risks and in the process finding God’s faithfulness. I was inspired as I read it and it is my prayer that you will be too.

Definitely a page turner!

I was blown away to hear of the risks people take for God in this book, and of God's incredible faithfulness throughout. 'Inspired' really challenged me to think outside my comfort zone and to be braver and bolder in my walk with Christ, as we are serving a wonderful, powerful God who is always faithful.
