Selected commendations:

"The Runaway Sheep is a beautiful story of a good shepherd's relentless love for wandering sheep. No matter how creative we are in our attempts to run from God, his grace to follow and find us is greater."

Betsy Childs Howard, editor at The Gospel Coalition, author of Arlo and the Great Big Cover-Up

"Kids love to play hide and seek! With creative flair and captivating illustrations, Dan Olson grabs kid’s attention with biblical truth: We all play this game with God. The Runaway Sheep shows us more. No matter how hard we try to hide, Jesus wins out every time!"

Barbara Reaoch, author and speaker, served as director Bible Study Fellowship’s Children’s Division

"A shepherd once asked the Lord, “Where shall I go from your Spirit?” (Psalm 139:7). With The Runaway Sheep, Dan Olson has given families a beautiful opportunity to meditate on that question with gospel hope. This book is a wonderful and creative story that will draw kids in and help them see the steadfast, pursuing love of another shepherd—the Good Shepherd."

Scott James, author of The Sower and Where Is Wisdom?

“This was such a lovely book for how it intertwines the various stories of the Bible, where God ran after people to bring them to Him. It is a story that will cause all of us to think about our relationship with God and the steadfast love He has for us!”

Anika T. Prather, founder of The Living Water School

"With a nod to a well-loved children's classic, the story of the Runaway Sheep weaves its way through multiple biblical stories to remind children and the people who love them that the Story the Bible tells is a unified one of God's dependable, pursuing love."

Elizabeth Stewart, Interim Director, Family Leadership Network

Sweet story of God's providence

Using the classic "Runaway Bunny" format, this book shows God's providence in our lives and for his people through the whole of history. Old Testament and New Testament stories are interwoven to show God's deep, unfailing love. A sweet book to read with any little!

"I like this book!"

"I like this book!" said my 9-year-old on our second reading. He was drawn in by the beautiful illustrations and loved identifying the Bible stories woven into each page. This clever spin on 'The Runaway Bunny' is thought-provoking for both parents and children.
