Seek and Find: More Old Testament Bible Stories is the latest installment in the Seek and Find series by Sarah and Andre Parker. This book includes 8 Old Testament stories for children to learn. Each page includes lovely illustrations with items for children to look for. They also include a brief synopsis of an Old Testament story and a Scripture reference so children and adult readers can look up the full context of the story if they’d like to.The synopsis for each Bible story in Seek and Find: More Old Testament Bible Stories emphasizes God and concludes with one aspect of His character. I love this because it will help my children remember who God is. I’ve heard of Christians disregarding the Old Testament due to not understanding it but I love that this book helps readers of all ages understand how the Old Testament reveals who God is. Some of the stories conclude with truths about God including: “We can trust God when things are hard, God is the One True God, and God is always in control.” My younger children often have a harder time paying attention when our family reads the Bible together so I love that Seek and Find: More Old Testament Bible Stories has found a unique way to captivate children’s attention and draw them to the beauty of the Bible and ultimately God. We love this series and can’t wait to read future volumes!
