Well educated and with a gift for writing, Hannah More was set to become one of the leading lights in the literary and artistic circles of the 1700s. Gradually, however, she realized that only Jesus Christ could bring her fulfilment. Hannah More is best known today for her penmanship but also for her defense of women's rights and her anti-slavery stance. Her life of would-be-fame was changed to a life of faith.
