    Finding Firm Foundations

Posted by Alistair Chalmers on 14th May 2018

Why I believe is a great little book that is packed full of big truths. As an evangelist Roger knows the big questions that people are asking about the Christian faith and he takes on seven big topics but speaks to each topic in a way that is engaging and easy to read. He tells his own reasons for believing the seven points and, as you would expect from an evangelist, gives a good challenge to consider what you believe on these topics. This is a great book with a helpful chapter at the end for new Christians which helps them find their firm foundations on Jesus and the Bible.

Particularly suitable for the seeker, or new Christian

Posted by John Caldwell, Stirling Free Church on 18th Apr 2018

Is the Bible the Word of God? Is the Devil real? Why is the world such a mess? Is there life after death? Is Jesus the only way to God? These questions, and more, are explored in Roger Carswell’s Why I Believe. Ever the evangelist, Roger writes not only to inform but to transform by calling the reader to receive Christ. Whilst this is written with the non–believer in mind, I would say it is particularly suitable for the seeker, or new Christian. The final chapter is incredibly helpful in the way it lays down foundations for new Christians.
